Joule Paper: EU ETS Integration Could Drive 68–86 Mt CDR Per Year by 2050
New modeling in Joule finds that integrating permanent CDR into the EU Emissions Trading System could incentivize 68–86 Mt CO2 of removals per year by 2050. The EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework already builds the registry infrastructure. The missing piece is market integration.
