Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement Captures CO₂ in Gulf of Maine: Updated Results From Loc-Ness
Updated results from Woods Hole’s Loc-Ness OAE trial: 65,000L sodium hydroxide dispersed over 1km² in the Gulf of Maine captured 2-10 tonnes CO₂ in 4 days. Modeling projects 50t/year. No measurable ecosystem damage. Presented at Ocean Sciences Meeting 2026.
