About

ZEN Carbon is a Nairobi-based startup developing reactor-driven CO₂ mineralization technology that injects CO₂ into ready-mix concrete during mixing, forming stable calcium carbonate minerals and enabling reduced cement content. In late 2025 the company moved from pilot to industrial deployment via a partnership with Flamingo Concrete, and it is backed by the Carbon Drawdown Initiative. The company is also hiring technical staff (e.g. concrete chemistry and control/automation leads) as of early 2026.
