About

Vycarb is a Brooklyn-based ocean alkalinity enhancement startup founded in 2022 by Dr. Garrett Boudinot. Its system combines a CO2 neutralization process that reacts CO2 with water and alkaline minerals to form stable bicarbonate with a proprietary real-time sensor that autonomously measures the inorganic carbon system, enabling precise verification of removal. In October 2025 the company closed a $5M seed round led by Twynam with participation from MOL Switch, Hatch Blue, Clocktower Ventures, Idemitsu, and SGInnovate, bringing total funding to $5.15M.
