Rock Flour Company

About

Founded in 2023 by Greenland native and noted geologist Minik Rosing and climate investor 2degrees, Rock Flour Company aims to transform the natural byproduct of glaciation into a tool for climate resilience. The Greenland-based firm raised ~$7.1 million (€6.1 million) in a seed round led by the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) and Novo Holdings, with participation from Greenlandic Nalik Ventures, Greenland’s pension fund SISA, the Carbon Drawdown Initiative, and existing investors including 2degrees. The investment is being used to commence commercial deployment of its first GRF project in Greenland, initiate long-term commercial pilots, advance large-scale permitting, and build partnerships; the company is in the process of obtaining an exploitation licence from local government to commercialise the sale of GRF.
