About

Planeteers is a Hamburg-based climate-tech company founded in December 2022 by engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs developing patented HCM (hydrated carbonate minerals) reactor technology for ocean alkalinity enhancement. Their container-sized modular reactors capture CO2 from industrial point sources such as cement or lime plants, dissolve it in water to form carbonic acid, and neutralize it with limestone to produce mineralized, alkaline water. In July 2024 they closed a single-digit million seed round with investors including BonVenture, Smart Energy Innovationsfonds AG, and ClimaNow.
