About
Pathway Energy is a Houston-based developer of carbon-negative sustainable aviation fuel facilities, launched in December 2024 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nexus Holdings. Its flagship $2B Port Arthur, Texas project pairs biomass gasification and Fischer-Tropsch SAF production with a BECCS system intended to remove ~1.9 million tonnes of CO2 annually, targeting construction start in early 2026 and commercial operations in 2029. Drax has agreed heads of terms to supply over 1 million tonnes of wood pellets per year and may take a convertible loan note stake.
