About
Omiti Biochar is a Namibian company developing community-based biochar carbon removal projects, partnering with rural communities like Otjimbingwe to sustainably harvest encroacher bush and pyrolyze it into biochar. It works with Planboo (MRV) and Carbon Standards International (certification) to generate and sell carbon removal credits on the voluntary market, and has signed a joint venture with Ikigai Carbon/BluSky Carbon to scale pyrolysis deployments in Namibia.
