About
NEG8 Carbon is a Waterford, Ireland-based Direct Air Capture company (originally founded in 2014 as Trinity Green Energies, a spin-out from Trinity College Dublin and UCD) that develops proprietary Electrostatic DAC technology using thin-layer sorbent systems. It built Ireland’s first DAC prototype (1.2 tpa) and in January 2026 signed an engineering study agreement with Prochem Engineering for a 50 tpa full-scale DAC module at its Waterford headquarters.
