About

Graphyte is a US carbon removal startup founded in 2023 and based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, that uses its proprietary Carbon Casting process to dry, compress, and bury biomass residues from timber and agricultural operations as durable carbon blocks. It operates Project Loblolly in Arkansas (which issued 15,000 credits in 2025) and is developing Project Ponderosa in Flagstaff, Arizona, and is backed by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Prelude Ventures, Carbon Direct Capital, and Overture.
