About
Ecoera is a Swedish biochar carbon removal company founded at Chalmers Ventures with Skånefrö AB, having started Sweden’s first large-scale biochar application for carbon removal in 2009. Biochar is produced in Hammenhög, South Sweden, at one of the largest biochar facilities in the EU using PYREG P500 and P1500 systems. Output is third-party verified against the European Biochar Certificate and the Puro.earth Biochar methodology, and sold as CO2 Removal Certificates (CORCs).
