About
Elimini is a wholly-owned US-based subsidiary of UK energy group Drax, launched in September 2024 at Climate Week NYC to develop BECCS projects in North America and internationally and to market carbon removals from Drax Power Station. It is developing a greenfield 300 MW BECCS facility with Sargent & Lundy (targeting ~3 Mt CO2/year, ~$2.5bn capex, online by 2030) and in July 2025 signed a joint development agreement with Copenhagen utility HOFOR for a BECCS retrofit at Amagerværket.
