About
Biomass Projects is an Australian pure-play CDR developer behind the Mardie char project in the Pilbara, Western Australia, which pyrolyzes invasive mesquite (a declared Weed of National Significance) into durable biochar using modular pyrolysis units. The project is expected to reach an annual removal volume of 500,000 tonnes of CO2 by 2028, with Carbonfuture providing MRV+ dMRV services. The company also develops MetChar, a biochar-based metallurgical alternative to coal for steel production.
