About
Beccs Stockholm is the large-scale Bio-Energy Carbon Capture and Storage project being built by Stockholm Exergi, Stockholm’s municipal district-heating and electricity utility, at its Värtaverket biomass combined heat and power plant. The facility is designed to capture ~800,000 tonnes of biogenic CO2 per year, which will be liquefied and shipped to the Northern Lights geological storage site off Norway, with operations targeted for 2028.
