44.01

About

44.01 is an Omani carbon-mineralization company founded in 2020 that permanently sequesters CO2 by injecting it into peridotite formations in the Hajar Mountains region (Oman and the UAE). It operates pilots with partners including Aircapture, ADNOC, Holcim, and Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals, and won the 2022 Earthshot Prize and an XPRIZE XFACTOR award in April 2025.
