About

1PointFive is a Houston-based CCUS subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum developing the STRATOS direct air capture facility in the Permian Basin, designed to capture up to 500,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. Phase 1 is in final startup stage with operations expected to begin in Q2 2026, and the project is being developed through a joint venture with BlackRock. Offtake buyers include Microsoft, Amazon, AT&T, Airbus, Bain & Company, and the Houston Astros.
